I updated ios to 15. I downloaded and removed & reinstalled Chrome multiple times from app store. I selected Chrome as default browser in Settings, also multiple times. Yet, websites from my home screen & via links still open in Safari. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

To make Chrome your default browser you need to go to settings > Chrome > default browser app and then deselect Safari.
Selecting it as the default search engine isn’t enough.

I had already changed default browser (no problem with search engine) within Chrome's settings as well as within Iphone's settings. I'm probably going to ignore it at this point. I mistakenly marked my question "solved." Can you remove that? I can't seem to. Thanks for your reply.
