USB SSD will not mounted

Since I installed MacOS 12.0.1 my SDD via USB is not available. An other external HDD is still available. Both connected direct to the Mac. I can see the SDD in the harddrive-tool, but I can not start it there and receive a failure message. Reboot, plug out and in, complete new SW installation haven’t helped. Any Idea?

Mac doesn't recognize new SSD external drive I have an iMac with macOS Monterey 12.6 it will not show my external hard drive. The drive is recognized on the disk utility but when I try to mount it I got the following message "Could not mount “SSD”. (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error 49244.)". How can I fix this issue? SSD not seen in Disk Utility but shows it is connected in system report So the basic story is I bought a new SSD, about 2 months ago. It worked at first. I was able to put files on it and the mac would see it no problem. Then suddenly the mac stopped seeing it even in disk utility. Then suddenly it was able to see it for a short time again, with the files still there, and now it isn't showing up again in disk utility. Opening system report, I can see that it is connected to the thunderbolt port, reading the correct specifications of the ssd. The light is working on the ssd as well so it is connected but for some reason is not seen on disk utility so I'm unable to use/mount it. What could be the problem?

external drive not mounting I have an OWC minstack stx connected Thunderbolt 4 to a MacStudio M1 max and the 8 TB hard drive is not mounting The SSD mounts and operates normally. I've reinstalled Ventura and on the first boot the hard drive appears and operates normally but after a restart it dissappears again. very frustrating! It operated fine under Ventura 13.1. any hints? I can't figure out how to go back to 13.1 and Apple support says they don't support that

Same issues experienced in this forum... Unable to mount an external USB-C G Drive in Monterey.

It is a SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB. I took pictures of the Disk Utility and the error message.

I haven't an other device to check if the disc runs there.

What specific SSD?

Does it work when connected to another device?

Does it show in DIsk Utility?What is exact wording of error message?
