Photos not uploading to family iCloud

Switched daughter to iCloud+ storage in family sharing (2TB) Why is her device still giving storage error messages? I have restarted her device several times. It also will not back up, gives the same type of error message - not enough iCloud storage space.

iPhone Photos says Not enough iCloud Storage after switching to Family Storage. As many people seem to have had previously, without a fix that I can find, my wife has an iCloud storage issue. She has been part of Family since she got her iPhone & iCloud account a few months ago. She wasn't using Family storage for photos (cant remember why) and filled up her 5Gb free iCloud storage. Her photos had stopped uploading, so I tapped 'Use Family storage' expecting the rest of her photos to start taking up the shared space. But, Photos have been stuck on not enough iCloud storage and only allowing to pay for the 50Gb storage. If I check her iCloud settings, its listed as using family storage, with 150ish of 200Gb used. Her phone (original SE) can backup to iCloud without a problem. It was uploading photos to iCloud before switching to Family storage without a problem. So, has anyone seen a fix for this anywhere? Not the ones which tell you to delete photos, we want to keep the photos which is why we switch on family storage. Thanks in advance.

Family shared iCloud storage not available for iCloud photos Recently joined a family and am having issues with my photos app not recognizing the newly available storage.

compared my mom’s storage to mine and it doesn’t make sense my mom has 64gb on her phone + her icloud subscription which is 50 gb. she also has only 40 files on her photos app. i have 256gb on my phone + 200 gb on icloud. i have 5122 photos & videos. her phone keeps telling her she has no storage space left so i went and checked and it’s so strange. my phone says my photos app is occupying 1.38 gb whereas hers says it’s 37.44 gb. that makes no sense to me considering she has much less photos and videos than me. we have her icloud synced and we have optimized her photo settings too. has someone got any clue what’s going on?

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communites. We understand you're having some difficulties with your daughters device accessing your shared iCloud+ plan and see you came to us from a helpful support article for this. Did your daughter have her own iCloud+ plan before joining your family? If so, did you complete the steps in the "Switch from your iCloud+ plan to your family plan" section of that article?

We would also suggest taking a look and working through the steps in resource below from your daughters device and see if she is then able to gain access to your shared iCloud+ plan.
