FaceTime not working

I just updated my phone too the latest iOS and my FaceTime is randomly working someone please help.

I have never been able to get FaceTime to work. It is useless. Zoom, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams and Skype all work perfectly for video calling. FaceTime never works. It always cuts out. I am trying to call my daughter in UK from Thailand. We both have good WiFi. We are both sitting next to our respective routers/ We both have IOS 15. It is simply infuriating.
