scanning problem

I have a brand new Macbook Pro and when I tried to do a scan from my Canon 8100 series printer/scanner I got the following warning " ypu do not have permission to open rhe application "Canon IJScanner1.app"

If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer in


> System Preferences> Printers & Scanners, and add it again, select AirPrint.


Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support.
