MacBook Air 2020 - BIG SUR - Printer Driver problem?

The printer driver for Epson xp-235 (older printer) and Epson xp-2100 (new printer) will not install.

Epson says that the drivers work with Big Sur, but it seems they only work if you upgraded to Big Sur... this new MacBook Air is born with Big Sur, and the printer drivers will not install.

Is there a way to "clean" the spooler on a MacBook Air (like you can on Windows)?

Should I try to downgrade to previous version (before Big Sur)

I tried to install earlier versions of the drivers also, no luck.

Seems like my Mac is jammed, and no printer drivers can be installed ??

Any ideas?

Hi,

Any change if you reset the printing system and re-add the printers? Does the operating system suggest suitable drivers?
