Apple TV won’t turn on unless I reboot it

When I put my Apple TV to sleep.

It shuts off my TV and normally shuts off the Apple TV.

However sometimes the Apple TV doesn’t shut off since the white light is on but the TV turns off.

Then I can’t turn on my TV using the Apple remote.

When I manually turn on the TV, it doesn’t show the Apple TV is on but the light is still on!

I need to restart the Apple TV using the remote holding both buttons for like 10 seconds then it starts working.

But then when it goes back to sleep , it needs to be restarted again.

Any suggestions?

Also , why is the light on when I put it to sleep?

Setting Apple TV to sleep should not leave the Apple TV on. Did you set it to sleep through Control Center?

Is HDMI-CEC activated on both your TV and Apple TV?
