Recently my Apple TV stopped turning on when I use the remote. The only way I can get it started is to unplug the power cord, then plug it back in. When I do this the light flashes a few time then eventually turns on. I successfully restored it via iTunes but the problem persists. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do next?
Possibly you have been using the touch surface to wake the device previously. This has changed with tvOS 13. Now use the Menu button or TV/Home button to wake the device.

Thank you! You are correct, I was attempting to wake it up with the touch pad. I tried using the TV home button and it worked!
