Dark Mode Stopped Working after Big Sur Update

I had an update this past weekend for Big Sur and since then my Dark Mode is refusing to be set through General tab. I have also noticed that since the update, some applications have either been removed or stopped working, but reinstalling at least resolved those. Regarding the dark mode issue is there a workaround for this?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.5
