I cannot save office files into my Mac.
I can still save into OneDrive but not into the Mac.
I uninstalled Office and installed it again but it doesn't fix the problem.
I have also double-checked that the folders I am trying to save into have the right permissions.
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.4
I can save it to iCloud and OneDrive without problem but cannot save into my Mac.
Also, when opening any word from iCloud/OneDrive, it opens them as read only irrespective of the permits of the file (read and write, double-checked)

Not exactly what I asked. OneDrive and iCloud Drive have a web portal where you can upload files. Those do not exist on your Mac. They can also synchronize folders on your Mac to those services, so the files exist in both locations.
Have you tried to save a file everywhere inside your home?
If you don't have a problem with any other app, I would contact Microsoft for help. There is no reason Word should behave differently than all other apps, especially other Office apps.
What version of Office are you using?
Is this in folders that OneDrive is syncing? Have you tried other locations in your home folder that are not being sync'd?

I uninstalled it, download the newest version from Microsoft business 365 and re-installed it (3 times now).
Everything else works but word
I cannot save to any folder location that it's not synching. Nowhere
Not at home, not at desktop not in anywhere that is not an online location
