Logic Pro X 10.6.2 update extremely sluggish when my audio interface is plugged in
Yesterday I updated Logic from v. 10.6.1 to 10.6.2. As soon as I did that, Logic would give me a spinning wheel every time I opened it (even if it was just an empty project). If there was any audio in the project, the transport buttons/spacebar would take ~3 seconds to register (start/stop playback) and the meters would be extremely laggy.
All of these problems vanish as soon as I unplug or turn off my audio interface, which is a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 (1st Gen). Naturally I had a look in Focusrite's website to see if there are any driver updates I'm missing, but I have the latest ones installed. Other software (like Live 11) continue to run just fine, so this is connected to the latest update somehow.
I am wondering if there are other people who face the same issue with different audio interfaces, or if it's just a problem on my end. I should mention I am running Catalina 10.15.7 on a MacBook Pro 16 inch.
Thanks in advance.
