Since Big Sur I have to click on folders in finder multiple time just to get them to open. Is there a setting I can change to fix it to where I at max have to click twice to get them to open?

How to Set Up Finder in Big Sur I just updated from Yosemite to Big Sur. In Finder, the left hand column with folders is missing: Dropbox, Amazon Drive, Documents, Photos, Applications, Downloads, etc. How do I restore the left hand column with the folders? I saw another post with this question––The answer suggested dragging the "favorites folder." I don't see a favorites folder... I'm not seeing any folders at all, just individual files. I can't tell where (Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, etc) the files are stored.

How to open Finder folders always in new windows? New to Big Sur, so excuse the newbie question: In the Finder in Big Sur 11.1, when I double-click on a folder to open it, how can I make the default behavior be for it to open in a new window, rather than (as is currently the case) in the same existing window? I know that if I hold down the Command key while double-clicking, the folder will open in a new window — but I want that to be the default behavior, not only achievable by holding down the Command key. I searched around in various System preferences, but couldn't figure out how to do it.

Startup in Safe Mode. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201262

Select your account and login.

Test.

Log out of your account.

To leave Safe Mode, click Apple logo  in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.
