MacBook Air battery service recommended

Hello everyone,

So my MacBook keeps saying "service recommended" for my battery. So I took it to the apple store and they said that nothing is wrong with my battery and it is running normal plus they also troubleshooted my laptop. And now again it says" service recommended". Can someone please help me with this? Because my laptop tend to switch off without notice now.

Many Thanks!!

Since nothing seems to be working - consider having it evaluated at the Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Centre nears you. A pain but this could eliminate the guess work.

Best of luck

No, it’s been there for months.. I am okay with it, it just sometimes it shuts off without notice and says to plug in charger- and when I do it’s 40% battery.. super annoying when you are doing something very important- like a transaction and your Mac decides to shut down. I honestly think it’s a major glitch in the IOS system at this point.

I brought my Mac to the IShop in Barbados (where I reside) and was told they need to replace the battery as its defective. I guess they ran their test and saw some issues...no clue.. So I scheduled an appointment to have this done next week. I feel you may have to do the same. Honestly , I don't believe its a hardware issue as the problem started after I reinstalled the OS. Thankfully im still under warranty. I just feel in cases like this we should get a brand new system
