2018 MacBook Pro 15" Battery - Service Recommended After Software Update Has anyone experienced their 2018 MacBook Pro 15" battery saying "Service Recommended" after updating to mac OS Ventura? Cycle count is only 179. From what I have read online, the battery should last longer than that. Both the battery icon and the System Report say "Service Recommended." However, when I ran Apple Diagnostics based on this page: Get help with your Mac laptop battery - Apple Support and I got "No issues Found." I brought my laptop to the Genius Bar so they could take a look at it. They also found no issues with the battery when they ran Apple Diagnostics. However, when I asked if they could remove the "Service Recommended" line when you click the battery icon, they said there is nothing they can do about it and that this might be due to the OS. They suggested to just await the next update and see if it gets resolved. They also mentioned that a battery replacement is necessary when the capacity hits below 80%, and my laptop is still at 87%. Can anyone help with removing this "Service Recommended" message when you click on the battery icon on the menu bar?

Start by using this page to get an estimate on the cost of a battery replacement (in UK £), and that will lead you to finding locations to get it done at an authorised Apple service point.
