Replacing the swipe bar for the AssistiveTouch button

Hello. I much prefer the AssistiveTouch bottom on the iPad over the bar that is at the bottom. How do I get rid of the swipe bar at the bottom of the screen once I have the AssistiveTouch Button active?

Thank you.
