Books on different device

I’d like to purchase a book from Apple Books using my iPhone, but read it on my old Pocketbook eInk reader. Is there a way to transfer the purchased book(s) (in epub format for example) from the iPhone to the reader? I don’t own any other Apple products (my laptop runs on Windows 10).
