Annoying unwanted appearing apps

Recently I have had apps (Peloton and Speedtest) that I didn't download appear on my iPhone 11. I cannot delete them using the usual method as there is no "x" when in giggle mode and no "delete app" when icon held down. Any suggestions?

Screen Time Restrictions may be preventing you from deleting those apps. Let's check.

Open Settings ➔ Screen Time ➔ Content & Privacy Restrictions ➔ iTunes & App Store Purchases ➔ Deleting Apps: Set this to ALLOW.
