Search in iTunes Store not working

I used to be able to search for a song in the iTunes store, find it and purchase the song.

The search bar "IN" the iTunes store is gone... now the search bar is on the side/dashboard and it only searches in the music player (which I have no interest in subscribing to)...

How do I search for music in today's iTunes Store???

After you click in the search bar at the top of the sidebar on the left, click iTunes Store at the top right of the main window. See: Buy music from the iTunes Store - Apple Support
