netflix app has stopped working on apple tv

I always use Netflix on Apple TV, but now it fails to launch when I click on it. The subscription is up to date and is able to be used on other devices. Does anyone know how I can use Netflix on Apple TV again?

If you have an Apple TV (4th generation or later):

It seems that the latest update of the Netflix app requires that the Apple TV is updated to the latest version tvOS. How to update your Apple TV - Apple Support
