New phone/old phone

I have set up my new iPhone 12 and now I want to trade in my old phone. Can you help me erase everything on my old phone before I mail it in?

trade-in i already got my new phone backed up and transferred everything but i waited too long to erase everything off the old phone. when i went to turn on my old phone today it looked like it was a new phone setup
