Cannot pair my watch

Unable to check for update....checking for Software update Failed because you are not connected to the internet..


I have WiFi on and I have an internet connection. I’ve restarted the iPhone, reset the watch, and made sure the iPhone is on the most current iOS software.


what can I do to get this watch to pair to my phone?

Apple Watch Series 1, watchOS 6
