How do I upgrade my iMac (21.5 inch, Late 2012) to Catalina? When I click on the apple support link to "upgrade to Catalina", it offers macOS Big Sur only (which is incompatible with my older mac).

Thanks Yashchitroda for getting back so quickly. My iMac model is listed here as being compatible with Catalina iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012) but the apple link to the Catalina upgrade only offers Big Sur (which is incompatible with my iMAc).

you can't update your 2012 iMac 21.5" because is isn't compactable with apple hardware anymore..
Have you tried launching the app store and searching for catalina?
Thanks Paul. Yes I have tried and the only OS I'm offered is Big Sur (and my iMac is too old for that...). I can't seem to find anywhere to download Catalina - but will keep looking!
