Will Apple TV 4K work on an android based TV?

appletv does not work "with" smarttv's it like a dvd or blueray player or sat box by bypass everything smart about the tv and use the display of the tv just as if the tv was really just a computer monitor with build in speakers, if the tv support hdmi 1.3 (which was released in 2006) then it should work.

An Apple TV will work just fine with your TV. I just bought a Samsung 4K that has Alexas built into it, my Apple TV 4K works perfectly with it. Your Philips would work just as well.
