I just bought a new iPad 8 gen did I get the free year of Apple TV I put in my info but it list my credit card

Getting a subscription (including Apple TV+) requires a valid payment method for when the free trial is over, if you are still subscribed by that time. Your card will not be charged with this subscription fee during the free period.
