I found an Apple Watch 3 yrs ago and haven’t found it’s owner. What can I do?

I found this Apple Watch in the bathroom of a building that was Demo’d a few days later. I exhausted all routes, that I could think of, in my attempt to find the owner. It’s activation locked. I’ve turned it on numerous times to someone could locate it using find my iPhone but I’ve given up on finding the owner now. Is my only option just to trash it? I have my own, I just hate to see it go to waste. My 16 yo daughter (also has her own) has friends who parents cannot afford them for their kids. It would be great to give it as a gift...

Activation Lock is a theft deterrent feature with no bypass or workaround.

Without the owner's authorisation (Apple ID & password), no thief or anyone including you can re-use the device.

You can recycle Watch responsibly.
