Licensing for Final Cut Pro X when purchased with a new MacBook

A company that I work for purchased a new MacBook Pro that I spec'd out. I spec'd it out with Final Cut installed on the device. My question is, if I log in with my personal Apple ID will that software then be linked to my Apple ID account. I just want to make sure that if I leave the company and give the MacBook back, they will still have full rights to the software not me. Also, if I never log in, will I still be able to update the software?

It will become associated with an Apple ID when accepted into one, and then works the same as if bought from the Mac App Store with it. Until this is done, it won't be possible to update it.

The application is tied to the Apple ID that purchase it. If you used your Apple ID that’s what it’s tied to. If you need to change that you should contact App Store support. It’s possible that they can change it.

So this is the biggest question that I have. I did not purchase the software with an AppleID because it came installed from Apple, when the computer was ordered. So will logging into the app store tie it to my apple id?

When you purchased the Mac you had to use an Apple ID. If you ordered it preinstalled, which is often way more hassle than it’s worth. the application is part of the Mac purchase.

That's incorrect. You are able to checkout as guest and that is what the purchasing manager did. That's why I am very unsure with what will happen in this situation.
