I am currently doing a transfer of everything from my Old MAC to the new one I just bought today. I now have the Transferring Your Information page open on new Mac, and it says Starting up, as it has for the past two hours. Old Mac says Looking for applications etc. Is this right? Also, the blue bar on old Mac keeps going grey. I know this will take several hours. I just wanted to be sure it’s doing what it’s supposed to be doing. Thanks.

The most trouble free way is using the Setup Assistant on the initial boot— you have one shot here.

If that opportunity has past, the second best way is use the Migration Assistant.

If you are 100% stuck— you can force a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec to force a shut down.
Reboot and see where these has left you.
