Can I connect a 27 inch Thunderbolt Monitor (2012) to a Macbook Air (late 2015) using a Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 2 cable. The original Monitor cable is fault and I can't find replacement.

Sounds like you just need a TB2 cable.

Thanks to neuroanatomist. The monitor is still an excellent one despite a buggy original cable.
