Erase All Content - Forgot Passcode

I'm trying to follow the steps provided in Apple Support to Erase All Content on an iPhone8. I've connected the device to my HP laptop but I don't see an option when I search My Computer to Select the Device to restore to original default settings. I've already upgraded to a new phone and all my data has transferred. Just need to wipe the old phone clean to return to Verizon.
