Always on display stopped working

My series 5 watch is set to "always on" but it stopped displaying and now only comes on when I press the crown. How do I fix this?

Always on isn't working The Always On feature has stopped working on my Apple Watch - the screen is just black all the time. Even lifting my watch doesn't bring the screen on - I have to press the crown to get it to display, which is getting very annoying. Anybody else have this problem ?

Check to see if you have theatre mode turned on.
