Description field not exporting from Photos

I have a MacBookPro running Catalina 10.15.5 and Photos 5.0.

I am trying to export photos to a folder using Export, JPEG, and checking the Include Titles/Descriptions/Keyword option. When I open the exported files in Preview, the caption/description in the IPTC data is blank. I noticed that the description is included for old photos that were imported from a backup hard drive from my old computer, but all new photos taken since I started using Photos on this computer do NOT contain the description. Help?

When I test this, the description is included in the exported photos, also the title and the keywords.

You did write the description into the field "Add a description" in the Info for a photos and not into the Title field?

Correct. I used this feature successfully in iPhoto. I have tried deleting and re-entering the description. I have information in the Title field as well, but I chose to use the Title as the file name when I exported. I tried copying my description field in Photos into the Keyword field and that does get exported, so I guess as a workaround I could use that field, but I have a lot of photos to update to do this.
