can not update app in family sharing

I have a problem. In the past, me and my brother use same apple id on 2 ipad. Now i create new account for my brother then use family sharing.


the problem is the app on my brother’s ipad(download by my ID not the new one) can not be update.



There is no problem when download other app that i was brought ( the app that my bro didn’t download )


i think it will work if we just delete then download it again. but there are too much data in that app.


how can we fix this problem.

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to update an app on your brother's iPad that was originally installed with your Apple ID. Based on your description, you would have to delete the app and then download again with your brother's Apple ID, but you can contact the maker of the app to see if there is a way to save the existing data associated with the app:
