Family sharing purchases

I have an apple family sharing account, I’m the organiser (mum)

My son purchased an app which supports family sharing (procreate dreams) and I want to share this with the rest of the family.

I log on to his iPad, settings >family>sons account > purchases > sharing is turned on.

When viewing sons settings from my family organiser account is says ‘purchases - not sharing’ when I click through it say ‘son shares purchases’

In the App Store I can not see sons app purchases.

I restarted all the devices and still and no change.

Any ideas before I smash 3 iPads with a hammer!

We had same problem.

In our case I as organiser did buy the procreate dreams but it was not available in App Store for our family children.

Solution for us was to go with child account to App Store. Profile picture —> Family —> my organiser account and downloaded apps, there was also Procreate Dreams and other account was able to download it from there.

Hope this helps also You.

My daughter wanted Procreate dreams when it came out - I 'pre ordered it' and when it was released, I was charged for it. I have Family Sharing set up - I am the main member - dad. For a day or so it worked for my daughter - over the holiday weekend, it no longer let her use the program - stating it was no longer being shared with her and that she needed to pay $19.99 for the program. Nowhere does it say Procreate Dreams is not eligible for Family Sharing - on the contrary - family sharing is supported. We have deleted the program from her iPad - and entered the family sharing link and tried to download the program onto my daughter's iPad - it will never install completely. It puts the app icon on the page - but when I try to open it on my daughter's iPad - it shuts down and wants money. We have logged off and on - deleted the program - nothing we can do to get Procreate Dreams to work on my daughter's iPad - I am ready to ask for a refund and have my daughter buy it. The program was for her in the first place.

My daughter uses a 12.9 iPad Pro 3rd generation - mine is the same - just 4th generation.

Anyone figure out how to fix this?? I did a lot of 'Googling' and it seems to be an issue happening mostly with Procreate products. I have been having this issue since Late November, and trying to contact someone to fix this from either Apple or Procreate, but so far all I get are automated notifications that they received my issue and value me as a customer (lol ... then fix your ***** and make me happy ;-) )

My dad installed on Procreate on my iPad without Family Sharing, then tried to create a family and add me to it. But then, Procreate was uninstalled I think. So then my dad downloaded Procreate on his iPhone, and family shared the purchase, so I could have Procreate as well.

I'm not really sure if these are the exact steps we took, but hope this helps.

You have done all I could suggest except:

Refer to this document for ways to contact Apple ➞ Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support

Select your country (also look for "other" regions), then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

or:

Contact Apple for support and service by telephone ➞ Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
