That is how it keeps up with where you are if you have to use Find My.

You have Find My iPhone activated, it will periodically check your location, you also have Share My Location turned on.
But it just started checking in everyday starting on May 18th. Before that it only did it when someone logged in to check my location. I used to keep track of this daily for certain reasons.
