i just bought a new external monitor for my macbook and it has USB-C power delivery capabilities and the charging always stays on. i also need to take it with me on the go to school so the battery's health is very important for me. i was wondering if keeping the macbook plugged in for days at a time would in anyway destroy the battery.

Neither your battery or computer will be damaged by leaving it plugged in. I leave mine plugged in whenever it is convenient to do so.
