Problems with am external keyboard

sorry if I’m asking too many questions must i am having many issues with my new external keyboard!

Is it normal when i open an app with my keyboard it selects everything in the app??

Like In the pic below you’ll see that when i open safari everything on the Google page gets selected and when i open YouTube then the search button gets selected.. Is this normal??

I don’t remember very well, but I don’t think that this was happening before

1. help would be appreciated!
