Apple Watch Series 3 GPS ONLY

I want to buy a Series 3 watch but as I am with Three Mobile carrier it does not support cellular. Does this count for GPS too? Or do GPS only models work with any mobile carriers?

GPS watches work with all carriers.You can still make calls etc but you have to have your phone with you.
