I have a iMac running High Sierra. U have in the past used Pages and Numbers but removed them some time back. I tried to reinstall only to find the current versions are no longer compatable.
How can I download the last compatible version?

Dock : Launchpad : Other : Time Machine. Restore the Pages and Numbers applications from a prior High Sierra backup. That would be Pages v7.3 thru 8.1, or Numbers 5.3 thru 6.1 — depending on the versions you had before removing them.
Thanks. Downloaded LibreOffice in the end. Feel it’s a much better application than the Apple word processor and spreadsheet.
If you can’t reinstall them from your Purchased History then it’s not possible without upgrading to Mojave.
