Dead iPad 1

What can I do with my old, dead iPad 1?

It's completely dead, tried with two different (working) cables in the wall and connected to MacBook Pro and iMac. No luck. Nada. Nothing. Stone cold dead.

I'm pretty sure there was no sensitive information but as it won't charge or turn on, I can't check.

My options are throw it. Dismantle it and make a decorative frame for pictures of my dog or something else.... Just not sure what.

Any thoughts?
