Just installed Catalina on my Mac Air now my printer won't print when I send it something. What do I need to do? Thanks

Printing problems with MacOS 10.15.7 Catalina I’m having problems with printers and my iMac. At beginning i can install and print, but after a while i can’t use the printer although i can access it’s console through the browser. I tried to reinstall it but to no avail. I already had this problem with canon, kyocera and riso machines. All in different windows network environment. Is it a known problem? is there a solution for it?

updated os to catalina and since then i have not been able to print on my hp 1000 deskjet printer I get the msg "waiting for printer to become available." I removed the printer and resinstalled it. no luck.

Thank you so much. I did everything it said and nothing worked so I went on to the next step and reset the printer on my Mac. That worked. Couldn't have done it without your help. Wahooo made my day. LOL
