How can I unlock my apple device?

I have an iphone 7 that I do not use and would like to sell it. How can I unlock my phone so that the buyer can use it with another carrier?

Ask the wireless carrier it's locked to if they'll unlock it. If they won't, sell it to a customer of that carrier.
