I have an iMac Mid 2010, & is not compatible to upgrade to Catalina. Do I have to purchase a new computer just to have Catalina?

I totally understand your dismay. You would think the lesser 2012 Mac model's like the MacBook and Mac Mini would have been given the boot before the Mac Pro.

You need a computer which meets the requirements for Catalina, but not a brand-new one.

OMG......Definitely NOT happy with the news in the link you provided!!! I've always hung on to using & promoting Macs, but they may have just lost me as a customer. Appreciate your help.....
