Why am I unable to update Watch Series 3 to WatchOS 6 on my iPhone 6 Plus?

In order for the Apple Watch app on your phone to "see" Watch OS 6, your iPhone must be running iOS 13.

The Phone 6 and 6 Plus are not compatible with iOS 13.

This means your watch cannot have Watch OS 6 unless you get a newer phone.

The watch will continue to work fine with the older OS.

I also have a series 3 watch (brand new), iPhone 6s running iOS 13.1 and I still can not upload watchOS 6. I have tried everything and nothing works. Please help!

What happens when you check for an update in the Watch app?

It tells me the upload failed

I bought the watch brand new at Walmart

If I was in your position, I would exchange it. It may be an issue with the watch.
