hi currently My friend and I are up at the cabin where there is no cellular data service yet we do have Wi-Fi and it appears we are not able to turn on Wi-Fi calling without having cellular data usage. is there a way to turn on Wi-Fi calling just using Wi-Fi signal alone? thank you

Yes, but you must do it while connected to a cellular network, and you need to call your carrier and have them provision it on your phone. Once it has been set up you can use it when you are not connected to a cellular network, but you must be on cellular for the initial setup. As a workaround you can download and use Skype for calls.
