MacBook Pro trackpad suddenly not working

Hi all, have looked around at other posts online to fix this but haven’t had any luck yet.

I have a 13” MacBook Pro Retina, 2015 model I think. Yesterday when I opened it from sleep the system seemed very slow and unresponsive, the cursor moved about very slowly and jaggedly. I restarted and then the trackpad became totally unresponsive.

The keyboard is totally fine and works ok. Unfortunately I don't have an external mouse to use to going through settings is a little clunky.

Doesn't look like the battery has swelled from what I can see from the outside.

Any help very very much appreciated!

Matt

You can Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

A swollen battery can adversely effect the trackpad.
