I have applied for and added my Apple Card to my Wallet on my iPhone XS and set it as the default payment method. When attempting to add it on my Apple Watch (Series 3) it gives me an error stating “Could Not Setup Apple Pay” I’ve restarted and hard reset both the iPhone and Apple Watch

Unfortunately I have been through this check list, everything checks out, and I am still unable to get it to add the new Apple Card

Solved the issue, I erased all content and settings from the Apple Watch. I resored from the lasted backup and added the Apple Card during setup when prompted to setup Apple Pay.
I see no options for erasing content and backing up watch ... or restoring it.
