Hi i want to buy a MacBook Air for college and I see Apple had the educational sale is that sale only on the website or can I purchase it in stores? If I decide to purchase it in stores what do I have to bring with me to get prove I’m a college student?

you can do it in Stores also. You need documentation to prove you are an active student.
