I need my Apple Watch calendar to start the week in Monday.

I need my watch calendar to start the week in Monday.

The calendar on my iPhone, my iPad, and my MacBook all start the week on Monday. The Watch should too but it doesn’t. One of the first things I do with a new device is to set the start day in calendars to Monday. They have been that way for years on all of my devices.

I shut off the Watch and turned it back on. Same for the phone. I changed the start day setting on the iPhone and changed it back again. I changed it, shut down the phone, restarted the phone and changed it back. Nope.

I don’t see anywhere on the Watch itself nor on the Watch app on my phone to set the start day of the week manually. It seems like it should be doing that by syncing with the phone.

All calendars sync calendar events correctly across all devices. Everything is signed in to the same Apple/iCloud accounts.

Apple Watch 11, iPhone SE-3, iPad Air 4. All OS are up-to-date.

Apple Watch Series 11, watchOS 26

Thanks. As I understand it, it already has that capability. Settings on my Watch are supposed to sync with the settings on my iPhone. Mostly they do, except for that. I assume there’s something I should be doing that I’m not.

So, I set “Language and Region” on my iPhone to a country where calendars start the week on Monday (most of the world outside the US). My Watch calendar now starts the week on Monday.

When I reset “Language and Region” on my phone to “United States” the calendar on my iPhone reverts to starting the week on Sunday, while all my other devices continue to start the week on Monday in accord with my chosen settings.
