I have just been on the Apple Thailand website looking to buy a new IMac .
There are alternatives to the build and add ons .
Is there a way to remove options ?
I do not want to buy another Apple product where I have to pay for another Magic Mouse or another Magic keyboard .
Yet I cannot see a way of removing said items and reducing the price by nearly 300 USD.

First, you're assuming the price of each item sold separately would be taken off the price, which isn't the case. Second, think of it as you are paying for an iMac and the keyboard and mouse are included for free.

That was the point of my question , I know " this isn't the case " I was asking why it was not possible.
We are all in the market for tryig to get a few quid / dollars knocked off the price.

When you go to buy a new car, do you ask them to take off "a few quid" for the wheels and tires because you have some that fit?

As you've already been told the Mac Mini M4 is what you want. Consider the following: a 10 Core Mac Mini M4 with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD ($1084 US) with a 32" LG 4k monitor ($331 US) from Amazon.com) is $1415 which is $541 less than a similarly configured new 24" iMac ($1956 US) re 07/2025. Keep your keyboard and mouse from your current Mac for use with the Mini.
I got the above Mini with a 32" LG 4K monitor w/speakers for only $60 US more than the 27" (didn't know the Mini had a speaker). There are many monitors available in 27" size on up for $100 to $500 depending on what features you want. The monitor prices are before tariffs.
You can use your current keyboard and mouse with the Mini. All you'll need is a good monitor at whatever size you want. Be sure to get a quality HDMI or Thunderbolt cable to connect the monitor, whatever it requires. You can first try the cable that came with the monitor and if there's problems get a high quality one.
The savings going this was can be considerable.
No; the Mac mini is intended for people who don't want an additional monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

The iMac is the all in one solution for a computer purchase. It is the Mac mini you would be looking for where you add your own peripherals.
I'm glad you got the answer you sought.
Just so you have the complete picture, you can also opt for the Mac Studio or Mac Pro. Neither come with the keyboard and mouse.
