How to reset Apple ID phone number with no connected device?

My phone has been stolen recently and I need to restore all my backups and apps.

When I try to download and restore some apps in one of my Apple ID, it asks me to get the 6 digits code sent to the a device. But this Apple ID is not logged into any other device, so I dont know where it sent to. I could not get the code. Alternatively, it asks me to get the 6 digit code sent to the associated phone number. The associated phone number is old, not used, and I cannot receive the code.

I tried to reset the phone number, but it doesnt seem to work. It always say it would take 6 days. Why does it need that long?

I am stuck restoring some of these apps I need right now. How can I proceed next to download these apps?

Based on: Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support

A code is sent first to your trusted devices (some other Apple computer or Apple mobile device signed in with your account) automatically. If you don't have a trusted device it is sent to a trusted number which apparently you also do not have.

If you still can’t receive verification codes, you can request account recovery to regain access to your account [ How to use account recovery when you can’t reset your Apple Account password - Apple Support ]. Account recovery might take a few days or longer, depending on the specific account information you can provide to verify your identity.
